"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the Weather."

Well all in all the trip lasted 16 hours. My girl at the time ended up in a bath tub with all of her cloths on begging me to make it stop. All I could do was laugh. She got mad at me but it really wasn't my fault...you laugh too if you saw a hobbit behind her doing naughty things. Lil bastard cost me my first marriage...lol....mushrooms was a smoother trip..Acid is way to harsh and emotional especially for women.

That sounds crazy. Was she doing it too? Because I can't imagine it would be so easy to control your thoughts when you're on a drug like acid. Or be able to banish the drugs from someone's system at the call of "make it stop." haha. A couple friends of mine have done mushrooms before, but they never really elaborated on it.

It seems like it'd be kind of scary at first. Ethereal, euphoric and surreal, but kind of frightening. I guess that's all part of the experience though.

yes she was on acid as well. We had two girls and two guys. We were all tripping on acid for our first time.Controlling your thoughts can be done a little but its hard especially when your thoughts can come to life right before your eyes. I saw some jacked up shit that night.Acid is a drug that wont let go until its done....with pot there are things you can do to come down faster but not with acid. It should have been scary to me but it wasn't. I was a crazy kid who was trying to hide from his problems. If I had to do it all over again, I would never have done any of it. It was a wasted decade.

I don't know, it's always seemed like something that would be fun to experiment with. But again, it lasts until it's over with and you can't come down until that happens. How old were you?

Well I experimented with acid and mushrooms between the ages 21-25. I tripped about a half a dozen times. I never had what people call a bad trip.During that time in my life I did a lot of candy-flipping. It did seem like it would be fun and it totally was fun but I seen a lot of people lose their minds on that shit and even the ones who did not go crazy are just what we call burn-outs. I am very lucky. I still have my mind and well my burn-out stage did not last long.

It's lucky you never had a 'bad trip.' I've heard that when it's bad, it's really bad, and there's no way out of it until it's over. It's irritating to be around someone who's such a burnout like some of the people at school, I've made friends with them but it's usually all they talk about. It's interesting at first but no matter what the conversation originally was it always seems to circles back to drugs or drinking, whatever. I don't mind what people want to do, as long as they can keep it to themselves and be responsible enough with it.

With that said, it still fascinates me.

when you quote this, are you quoting a person, or is the universal consciousness quoting apart of itself realizing it is conscious? And if that is the case, whom is it quoting it to.

-Lovely post.

It's a quote from Bill Hicks, a comedian and a musician. It was played in a Tool song called "Third Eye," it's one of my favourite quotes.

I love Tool.
